[Bug/UX] Standard Comments Block displays Likes/Reposts even when "Fediverse Reactions" block is present

Perhaps I'm doing this wrong and don't know how to do it properly. I am using the Fediverse Reactions block to display likes and reposts separately from the conversation. However, these interactions also appear in the standard WordPress Comments block, which creates duplicate content.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Receive "Likes" or "Reposts" on a post from the Fediverse.
2. Edit the Single Post template (or use a post with comments enabled).
3. Add the Fediverse Reactions block (to show likes/boosts).
4. Add the standard Comments block (to show text replies).
5. Result: The Likes and Boosts appear in both blocks.

Expected Behavior

If I am using the Fediverse Reactions block, I expect the standard Comments block to strictly show text replies (answers) and exclude like, repost, and announce types automatically (or via a setting).

Actual Behavior

"Likes" and "Reposts" are listed as empty or generic comments inside the standard comment flow, cluttering the actual discussion.

Environment

• WordPress Version: 6.9
• ActivityPub Plugin Version: 7.8.2
• Theme: Twenty Twenty-Five

Proposed Solution

1. Automatically exclude like and repost comment types from the default comment query if the "Fediverse Reactions" block is detected on the page.
2. Or provide a checkbox in Settings > ActivityPub to "Hide Reactions from Standard Comments."

Is it about the comments in the WordPress.com reader? (that is the link you referenced: #1877)

Do you user other plugins that support custom comment types? The Webmention plugin for example?

Maybe I understand you wrong, it is about the wordpress comment template on my site.
I don't know if these plugins support custom comment types? Contact Form 7, Event Bridge for ActivityPub, friends

This is the default behavior, so there might be some kind of interference.
