Project abandoned?

Hi,

is this project abandoned? it was not playing smoothly in android 13, it kept crashing. now in android 15, same issue is happening. there is no update on play store.

Please share your update and what are the alternatives if anybody knows please add in comments.

That app has a completely different name, and this project hasn't had a commit since 2023. It would appear to be an unrelated app.

thanks for taking over the development of this IRC-Client.

Would you be so kind as to publish an update on F-Droid anytime soon, im order to revive Revolution IRC from the dead?

(I don't care if you abandon the Google Playstore...)

@DrDustwolf Well I guess I dropped myself in it.

I wasn't actually planning to take over development, but I've just had to upgrade my phone urgently, and like others have noted, the current version of Revolution-IRC doesn't load on newer phones. So I'm now much more motivated to get on with this.

I'll report back here on progress…

I'm curious if you ever made progress. Personally, I'd support via KoFi, Patreon, bounty, or whatever else and I know a few others who would as well

I know that's small potatoes for the effort required though

@le-dorje sadly I've been suffering from a round tuit deficiency.

I recently managed to load the current version from F-Droid - it's just GooglePlay that refuses to install it on a "too new" device.

Unfortunately my urgent phone migration had lost my Revolution configs so I need to set it up again. I'm kinda peeved about that, because it means it has lost the chat history too.
