Populate command fails when using relative paths

A user advised that the populate command fails when using relative paths. The error message is also not particularly descriptive, so they didn't know what to change.

Could we either

a) Support relative paths
b) If we don't support them, display an improved error message

Relative paths are supported and this is a bug. When determining which connector should be used, it currently uses the entire path instead of just the file name. This causes issues when there are periods in provided path. I already opened a PR to fix this issue.

The PR has been merged. Can you confirm, that the issue no longer occurs for you by getting a CLI installer from the artifacts of the ADO pipeline, referenced in PR checks?
