text_input throws error when enter 3 Chinese words

What happened?

Hi,

I am running on Debian 12,

I get Iced code from github, switch to 0.14 release branch, running styling example,
when enter any 3 Chinese words, it throws error in winit→Window.rs file line 379.

What is the expected behavior?

It can continue entering Chinese words without any exception.

it throws normal slice error，see my attached screenshot, start is 9 but end is 3. you can find a linux computer，install a PINYIN input，then type E three times，the error will happen.

I went through all the code， did not find where set the the start/end variable.

see screenshot，preedit.content length is 9. because one Chinese word take 3 bytes.
