Basic gnu readline line editing

It would be nice to have [GNU Readline](https://tiswww.case.edu/php/chet/readline/rltop.html) style line editing, possibly even respecting `.inputrc`.

See [reedline](https://docs.rs/reedline/latest/reedline/) for a nice rust implementation that could be used.
