This differentiates the two types of existence checks done in
v2/observationby adding a newQueryTypethat is used in the usage logger.It also adds a per-variable count of the number of series (aka number of entities, use series instead to capture the fact that when aggregated the same entities can be fetched in multiple series). This can be used to know if existence checks return no results.
